I got so I was saving the file with each and every successful step and this just should not be necessary. At first I thought I was inadvertently pressing my right mouse button, but that wasn't it and I agree that it happens either with a simple mouse movement or scroll, not sure. I just finished updating to ver 7.3.6 and it is just as bad. odt file each time, but obviously not the current work of the last minute or so.
